Guytanno’s History
Guytanno’s opened in a strip mall of Westerly, RI in 2004. Guy Gengarella’s vision of a small French Inspired Café was created with the help of his dad, Lauren. From the lattice ceiling to the open kitchen and with a variety of cuisines such as Italian, Asian, Spanish, and Classic American was born.
Focused on a passion for service and a vibrant atmosphere, Guytanno’s became one of the best “unknown” secrets in Westerly. As the Rhode Island Magazine once quoted, “I’ve been to 100’s of restaurants over the years and one thing I’ve learned is that a restaurant in a Strip Mall should never be discredited”! Guytanno’s Menu features fresh Angus Hamburgers, Chicken Sandwiches, Sirloin Steak Sandwiches, to Veal Homard, Ahi Tuna, Pasta Dishes, hand cut Filet Mignon, and a staple to the legacy, our creative daily dinner specials. Guytanno’s has always had something to offer everyone.
Guy would sell the business years later, where his brother and Bryan Giordano carried on that tradition for many years. Enhancing menu concepts, expanding the bar atmosphere, and certainly focused on guest satisfaction was always a priority. “Scratch” recipes handed down from Guy are still loyally followed today.
In 2015, present Guytanno’s ownership of Tracy McCann and his wife Beth, continues the traditions set forth by those in the past. Guytanno’s focuses on all aspects of guest value perception, quality, and consistency of operations. Guytanno’s prides itself on welcoming local residents of Westerly and surrounding areas. Building new customers is also always an employee passion. What is exhilarating is the regulars knowing the staff, the chef’s, and the all other’s joining them for a dining experience. The bar is welcoming and features plenty of quality scotches, vodkas, draft beer, local beer, and fine wines. The eight ounce martinis are second to none in Westerly!
Guytanno’s has recently added a new fifty seat function room. Giving the ability to accept large party reservations, host wedding rehearsal parties, collations, or whatever your dinning needs require. We now accept reservation’s via telephone only.
